Poem: Morning Coffee

Morning coffee percolates

beneath my weary eyelids,

as my flesh angrily screams

for its daily stimulant;

scents of French Vanilla

permeate and freshen

the staleness of my kitchen.

Evaluations of the new day

will have to wait until my cup

has been completely emptied…

of its liquid gold.

Yup. Sounds a lot like my morning ritual, sans the smell of vanilla.

Mine isn't vanilla scented... but the fragrance still draws me like a magnet! *S* Enjoyed this!

I like this a lot...especially the "eyelids" line. If I posted a poem about my even numbered day coffee, the connosieur probably croak. Oh, and can't quite come up with the right spelling of that word, (or else piptalk doesn't have it in its dictionary.}My coffee needs a warm up, so ttfn.
