Why I can love no more

When I say,"I can love no more",
It doesn't mean I don't want to.
It means I am incapable,
Scarred by the one I belonged to.

Yes,I had lived and I had loved,
I had given myself away.
And that is what has made me,
The way I am today.

The day that she had left me,
For the love of another guy,
Though my heart lay bleeding,I knew,
With her, it would never die...

With promises, that were meant to be,
She killed us both, my heart and me !

You think that way now, but you still have enough love left inside of you to be smitten and beguiled again. Someday she will cross your paths and you will understand what I say is true.

Love is not only a person, or the object of your love, love can continue inside your heart even when disappointment strikes...of course the love you speak of requires two hearts that want to share a season of love...James
