A New Day In the shade of thirsty trees a light breeze caressing skin Word is a little cooler today from the days just past Still early morning is sweet when no one else is about I can sit and make myself one with nature around me Young crows call out to be fed their noise is complained about I find them interesting with unseen intelligence Loyal to each family and the murder of their choice Watching parents train their young touches my soul so deeply Silence of nature enfolds filling me with harmony I breathe deep the scented air sighing with sweet contentment The sun peaks through shading trees giving hint of heat to come Its touch is tender on face lifted to greet a new day Karen Mc Neil July 20, 2012 *may our dreams ever be magical* |

"Word is a little cooler today from the days just past Still early morning is sweet when no one else is about I can sit and make myself one with nature around me" I really liked these lines, Karen. I liked the poems entirety, but especially those lines. ~*~ they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |
