I will save you
as the waves
try and try and try
to cast you down
to asphyxiate you
I will keep you grounded
I will keep you afloat

even if
by doing so
I am suffocated

after all
I am your anchor.

-Trina
I'll keep these dreams hidden
inside these eyes of mine
until my tears fall
unto my tainted hear

Oh, Trina, this is profound. There are many situations where this happens, to save another it winds up doing you bad. Wonderful poetry!

Love that picture and this is such a great angle to look at being an anchor for someone you love.
Very clever.

Sometimes being an anchor is heroic, sometimes it is foolhardy, according to the situation.

I was born when she kissed me,
I lived a few weeks when she loved me,
I died when she left me.

Ah, but most times we are blinded as to what role we play - The fool or the hero?  That really is the only question that matters when one is an anchor.

Thanx for looking in.
