Bones was baptized in the privacy of Mom’s front room. You see, Bones just kind of happened by. No one was quite sure about just who he was, or where he came from. Of course there were several conflicting theories about his origins. Mom couldn’t remember Bones daddy’s name. It kind of slipped her mind. Nature had kind of cut Bones a break, he didn’t have a name. There was no one he had to defend, or look up to. He started life with his own clean slate. Bobby |

Thanks dear "M", For reading and commenting. It all depends if you're on the outside looking in, or the inside looking out. Love Bobby |

At that time little Bones needed to be defended and looked up to, for he represented the miracle of life, even without his father's name. Sad, dear Bobby, but Bones filled that clean slate with his unique and precious story. Love, Margherita |

Thanks dear Margherita, For your kind comment. Every human being ever born has their own unique and precious story, and that is always the case, no matter what. Every life, no matter how long or short, good or bad, has that unique characteristic. Love Bobby |

I would agree that the role of a father in a child`s life is of extreme importance. |

Thanks Earl, One strange thing about fathers--some people have them and some people don't. Bobby |

Hey Bobby, whether one is given a name or not, he will make a name for himself, and Bones has made a name most memorable, and in spite of all the mistakes he has made, it is to his honor, as I see it. As always -- enjoyed, Art |

As a teacher there has been many a child I've known who could have done better without the name and its associations. I enjoyed the read and the sentiment behind the words. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
