God’s Finger Pointed Toward the Hills |

Before the spring had raised her head Into the frozen chill A blizzard gust was yet to drop It’s weight on wooded hill Yet spring would not precede its time Nor from it’s nest would budge Not even with a gaggle’s plea Nor early robin’s nudge The equinox would measure time And yet the spring would wait For there was still a snowy storm To pour through April’s gate But when God’s finger pointed spring Toward barren rolling hills She quickly spread a lovely coat Of yellow daffodils Rlizabeth Santos |

Wonderful poem, Elizabeth! It certainly has one anxious for spring's awakening. |

Liz...you grow flowers in your heart and bring warmth to all who know you. Happy new year, dear friend. |

Elizabeth, in about four more months God will point His finger this way. Lovely poem to start off the new year and cold days of January. Happy New Year. Alison |

What a stunning poem! I love the way you turn the poem into golden visuals and Spring obeys the hand of God, from daffodils to golden rod! This is a keeper! Karen |

The personification of the elements made this poem more enjoyable, I will have to remember this technique. |
