Our lives could be just as we've planned; Each day's forecast our own devise If we were granted Sleight of Hand. Divergency we'd not withstand In staid agenda naught reprise Our lives could be just as we've planned Exigency meets our command Dare not eschew nor compromise If we are granted Sleight of Hand Such stringency invites remand Contentious staunch sinew belies Our lives shan't be just as we've planned Felicity in fain so grand In dreams undoffed we'll fantasize If we are granted Sleight of Hand Existence swept as grain of sand Fulfillment appetence descries Our lives shan't be just as we've planned If we are granted Sleight of Hand Nan's Morsels Writers' Blog |

This is just so perfect, dear Nan. I enjoyed both the wisdom and your skill (had to check quite a few words, thank you for enriching my vocabulary in English!). Well worth being read by the current members and reread by those who had already the pleasure to read it in the past. Love, Margherita |

Thank you kindly, Margherita - I appreciate your enjoying this poem in spite of my immoderate vocabulary. I'd forgotten how superfluous this piece actually was.. Happy Day |

We,ll that's whet Scrabble does for you. Let's you show off those words that the rest of us are looking up just to verify that they really are words -English words at that. YOu do play Scrabble, don't you? Scrabble or not, there is no game out there that makes you such a talented writer - That comes from within But it is nice to have such talented & intelligent friends. Do you think I might be considered "intelligent by association"? THis is a stunning piece Liz |

I remember this poem, Nan. It was during the time when you tried to teach us amateurs different styles of poetry. You will always be the mistress... er.. master... no... mistress sounds a lot better - lol. |

Yo Nan, Nice work. Being sleight of hand can keep you in the bread. A good pair of hands come in handy in a crowd. Bobby |

Lady Nan... a pleasure to read such poetic works again. I bow to you and yours. Peace. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
