Every street, every sidewalk, In every cafe, I see your face, It is the face of loving kindness, For in spite of rampant cruelty, Human kindness abounds Upon every street, where I live! I live in every city, every town, In every village where life resounds; Your neighborhood, Is my neighborhood . . . I’ll be stopping by; Yes, I’ll surely come around . . . |

These thoughts unfolded as I listened to a popular song that is the essence of the verses. It's kind of old fashioned, but it is the true sentiments of my heart. Art |

Art, I absolutely love this, for all the reasons you wrote it and more. I also loved "My Father's House", but couldn't bring myself to reply to it, because despite your harmonious acceptance of your loss over time, your pain and sadness in it struck too heavy a blow in my heart. Owl |

There is so much meaning in your poetry. I was away for awhile and have just come back. (I was busy) so I had not read your work before. I am so glad I found you. Hope to read more. Billie C. |

Hello, Ida -- wouldn't it be wonderful if one could adorn a white lab coat and mix a batch of something that would eradicate "rampant cruelty." !! Ah, but it is going to take a change in the hearts and minds of the species, and as we've discussed before, then only by the process of evolving to a higher level. Let us hope. Thanks so much, Ida!
