September Song We all have our September song, Mine is simple, not too long; It comes straight from the heart, Let's see now, where should I start. It starts with you and my love That reaches to the stars above, You clear the clouds on rainy days, Your lovely face shows through the haze. You turn the skies of gray to blue, Warm the flowers in the morning dew. You give some meaning to my life, Help me through the days of strife. You are the music in my song, A song I sing all day long You make the words come to my mind When they become so hard to find. Each day filled with love and caring, Talking, laughing, touching, sharing; If I can do just this one thing, I know the years to come will bring. Days that are filled with happiness, With lots of loving tenderness; A September twelve months long, This is my September song. You help me make it through the day And keep me searching for the way, You make me look into my soul; Loving you is my life's goal. Something I've never had before, There is nothing I want more Than to make this September One that we shall both remember. In September the days may grow shorter but they still remain sweet. |
