Between the Lines

Awakening

Wondering why when time has passed
When time is on your side
Thoughts of now and thoughts of then
Are between the lines in hide.

Wondering why the silence is
When discovery comes to light
A moment here, a moment there
Lost moments throughout the night.

Just words these are of many thoughts
Before sun begins its rise
The wonderings of the wanderings
That lay before these eyes.

So now the quiet becomes the norm
The sighing laid to rest...
Just words these are of morning thoughts
In peacefulness expressed.

love that concept of:

"morning thoughts
   In peacefulness expressed(!)"

Interesting how the mind rambles over a cup of morning coffee in a quiet moment. You describe it very well, Maureen

Rather nice early morning musing, M. I find that early morning thoughts (after the second cup of java) to be the most profound ones of the day. Seems you have that idea also.

To mimic is a form of praise unless
you have no thoughts of your own

I also have my morning moments (call it my moment with God) which sort of sets the scene for the rest of the day.

Well expressed, Maureen.

Happy New Year!

Enjoyed this Maureen. My thoughts seem to come and go through out the night, wrecking sleep and is the cause of my addiction to late night talk radio programs. And most probably why I always prefferd to take the night shifts at work. latearrival

Bruce, I use to love the holidays, but everything is so commercialized and over done it seems, (maybe that comes with aging)I am trying to just enjoy each day as it comes now and find some peace in each.
Wishing you a calm and happy new year.

Lori, thanks for  visiting. I think about you often and hope all is well on the west coast. Have a  great new year!

Michael, and I only have one cup in the morning~~ wonder what would happen if I have another
Hope your new year has started off great!

JerryPat, I am up so early my thoughts have too much time to muse~~ sometimes a good thing and others, well you know. So I am trying my best now to not try and think between the lines anymore

btw, I am enjoying reading you

Helen, thank you (me, too) problem is I spend a lot of time speaking those thoughts out loud and at times I am sure I have heard an answer or two Hope your new year is off to a good start!

Jo, sleep~~ what's that? I don't think there are any night teaching jobs, so I just have to deal with those rambling thoughts, that invade my dreams. Thank you for your thoughts.
Happy New Year all,
M
