Grab your pen
from the stars
call your muse from afar
steal some time
where you are
and write poetry.
.
Write sweet sounds
like the breeze
and you'll laugh
while you're free
long or short verses please
write some poetry.
.
At your desk, on the net
with your keys ready set
sing the songs you like best
while you're blessed
by the best
you can be.
.
From your quill
from your heart
write the words that you are
turn hatred to trust
break your silence you must
share your tears only just
write some poetry.
.
You'll grow till you bloom
like a full harvest moon
shining truth in a room
and I can tell
that you're well
writing poetry.
.
You got taste
you got spunk
you got words
for everyone.
In a dream or in truth
full of love or just blue
any way that you choose
write some poetry.

Very good theory for expressing yourself, Eric. The mental advantage of composing our poetry far outweighs our ineptitude. Thanks for the upbeat and classy post.

Well I'll take you up on it:

"Heh"

My son, mine son,
he gave to me
A Draedel
OY, I was so pleased.

I loved his greed for god.

Then I spun that square shape top
and it did land on the Heh
as I tried to make my mind go (stop?)
as I pondered what the Heh it meant.

Not a rabbi, no I'm not
but that was plainly what it's not--
A Daleth, boasting self as Heh,
I looked at it and scratched my head,

I said:

"OY, my son, y'think we got
a Draedal that Hebrew forgot?
Perhaps it was made in Taiwan?
Y'think they got the O.T. God?"

"Sure," said son, assuredly,
"China's got these factories--
just to make mistakes like these.
They studied the New Testament
decided to betray by kiss,
just like Jesus, and Judas."

"Wow" I said and spinned the top,
it stopped on Heh, again, I thought:

"What if he is right?"

The two poems above are very good, and appreciated, so I hesitate... only briefly...

Bilton Blaskey was a fox.
Bilton Blaskey had no locks.
Bilton wasn't built on fuzzy, was he?

Karen dear babe.
Oy you write this well

But a Daleth it's not
it's more common Jewish thought.
How opportunity is made more than it knocks.
Many stories lie within
The daily evokes of financial winds
How to carry more out than you carry in.
So stories taught make challenge sought
As Mike & Sammie created a plot.
In Arizona there was a spot
Where the road was long and hot!
For miles no place to stop.
Tired travelers through there would come
Needing refreshment from the desert sun.
Enterprising boys they were bound
To set up kiosks to cool folks down
So signs they put up before their space
And advertised a cool water place
No sooner than they'd set up shop when hundreds passing began to stop.
Sammie's kiosk it came first
As those approached with dying thirst
"Would you like to buy a neck tie?" he asked
"I certainly do not want to!!" came the verbal blast
And on by him they moved so fast!
Then came Mike's kiosk selling water flasks
"It's so cool already would like to buy a glass?"
That's the question he put to task.
"Oh oh yes, all screamed in reply!"
Mike simply answered, "where's your tie?"

I'm not Jewish but I love the sense of humour.

Karen you're a beauty you can never be replaced.

Love ya kid!

Friendship's like a fine guitar.
It's beauty can't be matched.
The difference is, with friendships though
There are no strings attached!

Write on, Eric! I wish you the very best for the coming year!
