Why I Won’t be Home for Christmas Because there will be millions of people there. I Mean, the noise, it would be terrible, Millions lining up to use the bathroom And millions more lining up to get out. And where would they get the billions of pounds of turkey to feed them, The billions of pounds of potatoes, And trillions of gallons of gravy? Just think how long It would take to cook all that. How many billions of tons of apple pie. No, I can not stay home. Because millions will stay home too. Much too noisy .. Instead I decided to go to a friend’s house. Then I found out Millions are also going to a friend’s house. But I have already accepted the invitation … I know, I’ll spend Christmas in the bathroom. As far as I know, Nobody spends Christmas in there So there should be plenty of space in there. Wait a minute, Too many people always coming in and out. I know. I’ll spend Christmas in the dog house. As far as I know, nobody lives in there Maybe some dogs, that should be all. But I’m still thinking: Maybe I could spend Christmas in the closet. Have you been making too many trips to the closet? This "poem" was written to start Midnitesun laughing hysterically. And everybody else too |

I know of a vampire who wants to spend all his time in the closet because it protects him from the sun. You might have to share closet space. I hope he isn`t hungry. |

Is this a complaint or a lament? oh n/m ... Perhaps the author can spend Christmas on a mountaintop, with intervals to use the cabin facilities, of course. |

Jaime, I do believe I heard midnitesun laughing...and I know I am...and she would have loved this, as do I. Thank you, my dear friend, for remembering not only her...but us, as well, and leaving a laugh in your mist for all to share. |
