Broken bottles of colored glass wash ashore on the sand children with their pailes and shovels dig for treasure by hand crowds of sunbathers stretch across the sand to be tanned swimmers braved the cold waters some unable to withstand boats of all colors and shapes sail, others tied down unmanned sunset ,lovers strolls, beach towels fold and the crowds disband. |

Sounds like a pretty good day at the beach. Surf and sand have never been my thing, but I understand the draw. Mine is the mountains. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Jones Beach in Long Island, NY comes to mind as I read this. It was there that the ocean current almost swept me out to sea to never be seen again. |

Reading this lovely summer poem, just while it is snowing outside, gives a funny feeling. What season are we in? Somewhere no doubt it is summer ... Love, Margherita |

Where, indeed, is this wonderful waterfront? Enjoyed this very much, Mike. Thank you. |
