Tea and simplicity, To immerse the mind In the pool of ideas, To drown prejudices, To be absorbed In clarity of thought, To cast off the ballast Of restraints of mind, Soul, and body---to rise, Transcending the brightness Of false enlightenment, To ascend into the blackness Where light is exposed By the purity of darkness--- All of this from an armchair, Eyes closed wide, a cup of tea, And simplicity . . . Come, go with me To the land beyond the land Of to do and not to do, To the place of to be, And not to be, but free . . . |

This is as close as I’ve come---if, indeed, it is possible---to the solution of the existential trap of being-in-the-impossibility-of being! Art |

Well said, and delightfully optimistic. I will join you with a cup of green tea spiced up with honey and lemon and the words of this enlightened poetry. Thanks. |

This is an excellent poem, well composed in all manner. Thank you. It flows with a zen quality. Novus_Os Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured. |

I'm all for a cup. Got three weeks off and the land of nothing to do sound like a pretty good place to be. As alwasys, I enjoy your style and content. Solid ![]() "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
