Now I see I brought you Into my thoughts Snagged you in My spin When I believed I had a place In my head That belonged Just to me Now I see That it’s not About You and me It’s a We Where I go You with me Now I see Me In your Jumbling tumbling Earth quaking Thinking Falling asleep At the wheel Waking sleep From your dream Head aching from Repressing a scream Now I see You In my Insanity Suffering from Been there done that I do Chronically Now I see Wanting understanding Put you In my shoes And tied up the laces On those hurting places That belonged Just to me Now you know Me Much too well Welcome to my Hell |

Been there...and that's why I'm staying. You know. |

Sometimes as much as we do it is never enough. http://swamprighter.wordpress.com/ [This message has been edited by JerryPat (12-11-2010 11:41 AM).] |

Love your picture, it's nice to see you, beautiful girl. This is a great write, I find. We all have our own hell to keep under control and only a few will be enough courageous and sensitive to "assist" us in the task. Love, Margherita |

Lori - I think that if we invited more people into our hell there would be a lot more compassion in the world but we are the great pretenders, are we not? Helen |

Sunshine, Jerry, Margherita and Helen, thank you for your support of this poem, it was painful to write. Lori |
