I demanding constantly curious of whims and fancy I dress up in mother's clothes and dance a parody 'round reality I slip out of shoes that never really fit and wiggle bare toes in the muck A playground sky scattered with clouds toys for my imagination Sweet breezes caress tender noddings from the trees they bounce shadows on a lonely wall making faces making friends out of thin air and silence LGR(c)1994 |

Some children lead lonely lives even among family and friends. The mind is a strange and wonderful thing, but it can play horrible tricks on you at times. Nice work. |

Very evocative... it captures the vibrant imaginative world children live in... too bad we lose a great part of it, as adults. Very well-written, here ![]() Amaryllis A pile of scribbles here: |

Touching piece indeed, can very much relate to it. Have been there as a child. Fine writing, Lori. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

Lori - Having just written about "air" if I ever made "friends out of thin air" then they've long since gone. But, yes, you describe the world of a child very well. Enjoyed! Helen |

Hi Lori...I think you wrote this with sensitive thought to the child. She is familiar to me. |

loved this.Reminded of my young daughter and her friend.I heard them arguing in the yard about who was going to carry the "pink poketbook".I peeked out he door and sugessted they take turns and share it.I did not even see the pink pocket book. That is when I learned it was an imaginary pink pocketbook they were quarreling over. LOL latearrival |
