Time ... runs all ... away

Infinite stars dance in
the deep midnight sky

as Time runs all …
runs all … away

Snowflakes spin-drift in
the deep Winter air

as Time runs all …
runs all … away

tiny creatures settle in
their deep forest dreams

as Time runs all …
runs all … away

Love-memories flicker in
the deep mind’s mirror

as Time runs all …
runs all … away

This gave me good, cold, slow-mesmerizing chills! I loved it.

Yep. I have finally gotten to an age I never ever thought I would and I understand this poem quite well.

Hi Bruce...Like the repition in this and your thoughts on time.  It does seem to rule, and yet, I'm not sure it exists at all.

There is sweet loneliness in this, a sadness that I can't quite give reason to, except to say that as I grapple for words in this very fleeting moment, time runs on, and all is swept away to make way. Elegant, a distillation of existential enigma that is both sobering and profoundly evocative.
