The burr and burn of Irish on the tongue, as light as God intended it to be to keep sad hope alive in hearts imprisoned on an island wrapped in centuries of magic, mist and dreams. A child when I learned to sip it neat and shout to all who'd hear Up the Republic! In your eye! I'll die a freedman e'en if the Devil sheds a tear! ©2010 by icebox |

"In yer eye" *eg* Aim to your right, darlin'. That's my bad one. *clink* I miss the amber, too. sighs |

Dear Charlie, your amber memories are of the finest poetic quality. Powerful words, to savor slowly and to linger upon. Love, Margherita |

Oh, yes, "amber memories". I have a few of them myself but perhaps ... distorted ones. Helen |
