Because she reads
I will not write;
there is no way that I could win.

I fear she wouldn't understand
the form of me laid out in book.
I also fear her reprimand
and see me as I really am:
I know she'd blame herself.

So do seek me on the shelf.
I will not write
because she reads;
there'd be no way that she could win.

My novel just might be The End.

I just hope my mother never reads this.

Thanks to you both for reading.

I'm gonna go look for the spirit of Christmas...I have no idea what I did with it.

What a great way to say the novel is forthcoming. I could be wrong about that, but I am not wrong about the lines of this short, but packed with emotion poem. It is the most in your face poem I've read in some time. And I read a lot.

. . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(&#!$!

Check behind the sofa for Christmas.  I left it there once.

You did with Christmas
what you did with this poem.
You've hidden it so long
that it needs to be transformed.
Let the bells ring
let the yuletide be...
just remember always one thing...
you are...Serenity.

sigh.

Two curtain ties, and a rather demonic looking incense burner/holder.

Charly owes me a percocette.

That sofa was damned heavy.

Maybe I should check IN the sofa?

*shudder:

Maybe not.

*wince*

More whine anyone? *laughing*

I really do love you guys.

And ya'll know I had to look--I would have been imagining a mold monster all night.

But nope--I'm pleasantly surprised.

Just the usual amount of couch-crotch-rot stuff--a happier surprise than the random change or even a corroded ambiguous med.

And Jerry, I just wanted to say thanks. You've been very kind to me, so I'll share a heads up--tomorrow night Tip's is having their WWOZ all star night. Not that I'll be there--but if you can still dance and stand all night, it's worth the mention.

Hugs all.
