We live each day believing there will be a tomorrow there will be another day to do what we put off But what if there isnt? What if there isnt another day to say I love you I'm sorry Another day to smile to sing To take your daughters hand and eat the ice cream without worrying about an extra pound To leave the office behind and play football in the park with your son Who would you regret leaving behind do they know that? What have you left unsaid out of fear out of anger out of guilt Who would miss you most? What if theres no tomorrow? What if this breath is your last? Would it taste of regret and things left undone? Or would it leave you breathless with the wonder of it all? What if theres no tomorrow? What if? |

Dear Paula Your title and theme bring these important questions to heart. Something we all need to consider by self examination. How we seem to take for granted the most important things in life sometimes. Not all, but many. Beautifully worded and flows so nicely down the page flushing out the inner conscience of the reader. WELL DONE!! Eric |

I do not look upon things in this way because I am well aware that tomorrow may never come for the loved ones around me. If anything I want to freeze time so that they will never go away. |

Very well said and thought out, Paula. I guess most of us fall into the category of believing tomorrow will actually come for us. I don't go to bed each night wondering if I will awaken, although at my age I really could. Yes, we put off things, important life things because of our disinterest and hope that it can all get done "tomorrow." . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

A fine write, though I try not to live my life by "What ifs?" It's just too damn scary to consider. Sure, there will be regrets for things not done or said, but I doubt any of us will be truly 100% satisfied at the end. Just live it the best you can. Peace. You've come home...and finally, I might add. We've missed you...or I've missed you as I have been absent more than I wish. We've seen emails, ads, and more, but none have phrased the "What if?" question as well and as eloquently as you have. Happy Thanksgiving, Paula. May all you see tomorrow...are smiles and full tummies. ![]() |

Thanks for all your comments. I dont live by the "what ifs" either. And I dont try to live like each day is my last. But I do try to tell the people that matter, that they do matter. |
