Counting my blessings
Giving thanks this year
For so many things
Especially for
What I didn’t get
Because sometimes
It is in
The not getting
What you want
Wherein lies
The blessing

While some might consider this twisted logic, I understand what you are saying, as I am positive others will. If we received all that we yearned for during our life we stand a chance of being miserable because if it.

Indeed, sometimes its best to thank God for unanswered prayers. Enjoyed.

Jerry, Hindsight being what it is one can see where they dodged the bullet on what would have been a bad decision had their wish been granted.

You said it, eusta...much better than Garth. And what I`m also thankful for are the neat things I DID get `instead of` what I asked for~!

My best~

Isn't that the truth. There might be trouble out there but we still have it pretty darn good and shouldn't expect too much.

I recall people saying if they won a lottery they wouldn't change a bit but I always thought, it would still change the way people look at you.....Yep we have more to be thankful for than we realize. We really should meditate on that.

Great write EBM

If we had everything that we desired we probably would wish for some of the things to be taken away.
