Its that time
again.
to give thanks
for everything
we have.

family, friends
love, bliss
enemies
pain, hate,
anger
forgiveness
acceptance

we must be
thankful
for the
darkness

to truly appreciate
the light
in
our lives
So, enjoy
everything
and enjoy
nothing
Rejoice with
laughter
remember
with tears
and have a
Happy
Thanksgiving.

-Trina.

Happy Thanksgiving to YOU! The truths you tell always seem to find a way to a peaceful place in me and for that I thank you very much! emb

Reading the bold words alone?
You told it like it should be.

Thank you, young lady.

I won`t be celebrating Thanksgiving here because it is not a national holiday and why should Japanese people celebrate a holiday concerning America and the Pilgrims?  But to be honest, I do miss the hoiday and although I won`t be having a Thankgsgiving dinner I will be calling my parents to wish them a happy holiday.  I have spend a few hours at my school teaching the origin and meaning of the holiday.  Students were receptive. --- I like your ying yang approach to the holiday.  I think it was Oscar Wilde who said that having friends only was boring.  He compared them to salt.  A man needed enemies to pepper up his life.

Very nicely said, innocent1.
Life is not a fairytale, but what we make it.
In an imperfect world, your poem makes me feel greatful.

Ahh... happy thanksgiving to you, dear... it`s one of my favorite holidays, because of the cozy family feel... and we have snow, now, so it`s even  more festive... I`ll be cooking the turkey and the whole 9 yards this year, and really? I`m looking forward to it!

Hope all is well with you~
