Listening to every heart

In Luminas

It is after the longest night
when we have stumbled out of
the fetal coil, speculating
whether we can walk
against the pain again

knowing no one really missed us
because we were functional even during
the blitz and break

that is when

We unite with one another,
during these sorely ragged times,
without notice, nor fanfare,
no introduction, no excuses,
for we know, inherently, softly,
retrospectively, that

“even the muses need to heal,”

and it is then, upon the taste
of the quiet touch,
when the gift of sister love
still lingers after the

thinking of you

that we can begin to write,
again.

~*~

To those who reach out,
and respond,
at exactly the right time,
and for all of the best reasons.

Such plethora of issues and emotion here. The quote answered them all.

This... I love, Karilea. So moving, so true... I will have to send it to my own special sister.      So thank you for writing and sharing it.

I was replying to this earlier, then my computer shuts down mid sentence, then it has to take a nap and regroup before it wants to cooperate.

Grrrrrrrrr!!  as I was saying....

This is what poetry is made of, so much heart and soul, compassion and empathy.
And so much love.

Such a heartwarming poem, Sunshine.

Even muses need to heal.

Yes..that is a powerful thing to say because it is truth in all its glory.

I adore this.

Sissie...To touch can mean so many things.  You have done that with this poem.

Somehow I always crave a cup of tea after I read you. In a proper cup. With the saucer...

Weird. I very seldom use anything else but my favorite mega sized Tom Petty mug.

I think you bring out something akin to gentility in me...

Beath deep... and live in peace. As I've said many times before... it is always a pleasure to read your offerings. I bow to you and yours.
