I've been in deep great thought lately- not taking the time to sleep because maybe I'm just scared to dream. The overlook there is much too steep. But what else am I to do with dawn when the weight of eyelids lingers on? I can hear the coyotes circling but I don't pay them too much mind, I'm over mourning death of Spring who left Summer to stumble blind. My room smells of sugar cookie, wax hot and poured into the cracks where Winter would otherwise invade this perfect fantasy life I've made. I have been a poet in someone else's mind. Go ahead and believe it if you're so inclined. But lately it seems I grieve the Fall- silent, I have nothing to say at all. |

Just remember to take care of "you". I have a hard time getting adjusted to the change in weather and Eastern Standard Time. If you can't sleep at night at least rest a bit during the day. Thinking of you~~ M |

It seems that you say quite a lot and you say it quite well. |

For most of the disenfranchised 'fringe dwellers' forever on the razor's edge of the "Runaway American Dream"... with Winter coming on (plus the results of the interim elections) there is little left to say! ... don't get old, sick, poor, socially marginalized; etc. in America ... the politically hyper-conservative far 'right' would simply have us all just die and decrease the surplus population... 'problems solved'! I am especially fond of: "My room smells of sugar cookie, wax hot and poured into the cracks where Winter would otherwise invade this perfect fantasy life I've made." |

Nice write, Dixie, but in my experience winter somehow manages to creep in no matter what. Helen |

Children grow and no one knows at their birth where their lives will go we hold them close when they are scared when they are just two years old when they are three we leave the light on to scare the ghosties away not a night goes by at four or five when you don't wake up with them in your bed the sleepovers at six, seven and eight that you think will never end the questions you never thought they'd ask at the way too young age of ten before your eyes they'e growing up and now are facing the world on thier own with so many dreams still so ripe going into a world that's already torn ~~~kingsangel~~~ |
