Helmets, Shoulder pads, Crunch and groans; Broken limbs, Concussions, Gladiators, Rome . . . We love the games, don’t we? War . . . |

Perhaps a terrible poem, but just a comment on our humanity, a darker side. Art |

Horsefeathers! Poem wasn't terrible at all. It got its message across and that is what a good poem should do. This is a good poem. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |

Terrible only in its probable truth. I believe there are those who thrive in conflict... whether it be a boardgame, a sporting event, or that ultimate game for keeps, war. It's just unfortunate that there are so many who are willing to play the latter, rather than for former. I agree with Jerry... it's a quality piece. Just remember, bread & circus... it keeps us from being focused on what is truly important and the real problems of our society. Keep the focus. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Truth is always bitter one to take, to the point and direct. Fine writing. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

I thought you were talking about football but then, what's the difference? I think I truly get your point. Eric |
