LOVE IS..

Love is a card or a present to buy,
Love is a smile or a reason to cry.

Love is a secret, a hold on your heart,
Love is when nothing can keep you apart.

Love is a child and a mother together,
Love is two people devoted forever.

Love is for pleasure, love is for pain,
Love is for trying all over again.

Love is the sunshine that brightens your day,
A walk in the moonlight, a new game to play.

Love is a person you always will miss,
Love is a partnership sealed with a kiss.

Love is the tingle you feel from your toes,
Love is the book that you never can close.

Love is for trusting, and never to lie,
A reason to live and a reason to die..

It's actually a polished version of a poem that I wrote back in 1979, hence it's simple and straight forward presentation.
