Somewhere on the Presidential Range
the last wisps of summer
are burning in the smoke rings
of many bonfires.

Somewhere there is twilight
and beer-filled laughter,
ghost stories, and Johnny
blowing a sad harmonica.

Somewhere on the Presidential Range
October feels the loss of me.

A lovely poem, wistfully so, and quite a photograph, too! Very nice.

I know that that area and those mountains are known for fierce winter weather at times.

Thanks easy1. NH is a beautiful state and I am proud to live in the mountains. Yes, winters are tough but the skiing is great!

Oh yes is right! There is already lots of snow on Mt. Washington!! It's getting cold at night but no frost yet.
