I Stopped to See My Heart I stopped to see my heart It’s been many, a year I touched it with my hands And didn’t feel, any fear. It felt like I remembered A beat, steady and strong I’d wondered if it’d weakened For, it has been so long. It was warm and comforting It, made my mind thoughts, spin Dreaming of that special time I might have it back, again. So many years of wasted time Which, never will return But it hasn’t doused the flame That, will forever, burn! Maybe not everything I wanted But, more than I should expect ‘Cause, I never gave that heart and love What, I know and respect! A stupid time in my life When, my heart went away A great regret, of my life I think about, everyday.
