Ladies With their midnight inks Urn their emotions In sacred places Set like traps On paper Their baited lines Fish me in To their pathos Picking my lock Memories Repressed release Too pointed Too poignant Too, too intuitive Tentatively I taste Their manna |

We learn from one another... true sisters of heart are never hesitant to share both their luxuries... nor their tragedies. That is why we have history... which of course should really be spelled herstory. ![]() Excellent piece, this. |

rwood-I'm so glad you read and liked this poem. It really is my compliment to the women poets that write so deep from their less than happy places and can take us there in a pen stroke. Thank you for giving this one your time and attention. ebm |

Ps wanted to mention that normally I don`t care for center-justification (just a personal taste) yet here it works wonderful, imo, since it comes out a concrete poem, echoing the shape of the subject ![]() ~A |
