eleven years passed without a hint of me knowing so I could squint just to see how many thousands of posts I've left on the trail with ghosts wondering if you pay a mind to a heart I left back in time that no one may ever find and some I still hold dear because they answer clear and not because I answer first, don't see a U-Haul behind a herse and this is only a test. Would I put my only child on a table to cut it in half and see God laugh or would I give up every worldly possession I have to please God's sense of power or humor or just pray over a tumor without seeking a man to fix it if he can? Hmph! I think not and I guess I can't expect the same of anyone else in this game. |

Not sure why it’s done But you have to kick at least one, Perhaps just to see for sure It’s there and will endure. (to get you off the lot.) I’ve given up of responses back After all I am the man in black Alone yet not lonely at all Three cats always come for supper call. (waiting to remind if I forgot.) I’d never tempt the powers that be They’d have too much fun messin’ with me And I’d have to gather again Working through a new set of pain (I’ve plenty of those already.) Run it up the ole flagpole for fun See if it is saluted by anyone But oft as not you will find No one seems to have the time (most are too sedentary.) Did the test work? Gloom |

Dixie...your poems are never testing, they are you, the everyday, straight as you like you and they are also a joy (mostimes)to read, just like this one...thank you.. Goldenrose. Friendship is Love without his wings. Lord Byron. |

A rented trailer being tugged behind a casket wagon is an image of majestic tomfoolery, thank you very much! |

There is nothing worse than sitting on a goose egg. I read this when you first posted and (gasp) didn't respond as I was at a loss for words (that didn't sound lame) and this piece deserved way better. So I echo the above sentiments of my fellow Pipsters...echo echo echo echo! |

Each of your words is like a little impulse and it reaches the reader, don't you ever doubt that. You are loved, dear Dixie, for the beauty of your poetry, as well as for the beauty of your sensitive heart. Love, Margherita |

Dixie doodle...I've never liked a test. They show me at my worst, not best. |

I often read your poems (& many others) on pip but when I go to post a reply I don't know what to say, or it sounds trite or too familiar, so I chicken out & delete it. I really like the way you write, and hope you write many more, although I had no idea what was behind the hearse until I read the replies.lol. as always thanks for sharing. |
