‘Tis sad indeed when time doth trudge- As though its feet were lead… And friends and foes alike, I fear- All lie among the dead. Adventure, aye, the glory road- Are fancies fit for youth, And oldsters, such as I do be- Long since embraced the truth. And what, pray tell, is truth? Ye ask- To that I’d feign reply- Accept the fate life hath bequeathed- And do not mope and cry. Upon your own two feet do stand- Depend not on another… Let friends be few and far between, Make solitude your brother. If romance be your cup of tea- Best recognize to start- The price be high you’ll have to pay- Your will, your life, your heart. Your future will a hostage be- To feelings bare and raw: And pain and pleasure battle for, The very breath you draw. A single path I’d say is best- A solo course I’d sail- But what know I? the choice is yours- So goes the Traveler’s Tale. |

Words of an old soul I'd say. The Traveler is a favorite of mine. Ida |

Nice to see the traveler again, 'slinger. I was thinking he got lost! ![]() There are many roads to travel. The trick is knowing which is for you. For some the lonesome trail is indeed the right one, You penned it well, friend. |
