BROKEN ENDS. Loner, critic, sadist and vile. Saddened, unpleased, is my new style. No, no it’s not me, until some days around. It is what happens, when broken ends are found… We stood out there, dancing to the jive, It was a slow number, to the count of five. I leaned closer to her, and said it slow, “What I am gonna say, I know you already know!” She had looked so godly in her white strapless gown, With her pearl-lit eyes and her hair pulled down. Lips more crimson red than any red I had seen! The white skin on her body, like snow it seemed! She seemed a bit shaken, that I had said it so soon, She took my hand a held it, led me out of the room. My heart beating faster, faster than ever it seemed. Me and my lady love, stood there just like a dream! Then she said it, with her words so bleak. “Whatever you have thought, we cannot keep. You are my best friend, the bestest I could find! But you are not someone, I have in my mind!” Was it not our love, which we shared all this while? Was it mere friendship when we cried and smiled? I thought we were in love, and you said “We are just friends!” Oh! It’s so bloody painful, to live with broken ends …! Loner, critic, sadist and vile. Saddened, unpleased is the new style.
