Oh the drudgery, the daunting wall the ever so increasing slope that I always find myself caught in the same mousetrap just a fool in love, or... just a dope a love that once was retreats, and now seems, more manipulated than requited reality sets in and so I try to act as, other men... The half hearted attack to try to find another girl I dropped the ball, actually made... no move at all paralyzed like the girl's arms, that want to hold me unable or too afraid too guilty, too ashamed too obligated, to her man's controlling frame so, I, I, out with a friend, a girl thinking about dating her... giving it a whirl and I looked down at her and it's a long way down, there and she stares up at me, a distance too great to share a chemistry, thats... just not there so I leave her, trudge on thinking about another one needing a beer walk to a cubical cobblestone sideways sidewalk cafe on a typical Prague street, that's near next to me sits, a fairly attractive woman who's intentions are, VERY clear staring, looking, flirting playing with her hair and giving me a look, nay, burning a hole, with her stare and so I ponder, I try to look around trying to check out the merchandise closed mouthed closed minded never uttering a sound but, OH, my half hearted courage is more lost than found [This message has been edited by martiniat8 (08-16-2010 02:38 PM).] |

Something tells me your courage will return... meantime, the piece is an interesting look into that in between place.... and of not yet quite having let go of the one who got away... enjoyed... the style, the internal rhymes, and the content. |
