Vengeance says I Revenge I seek For such a bad lie You say not a peep You made me suffer, Why? Your reasons are so weak Explain to me, do try You see I'm not so meek You made me cry So I'll make you weep I want you to die But your life you'll keep Forgiveness says I Relief I seek I forgive the lie Admittance you leak Understanding I cry Our eyes begin to seep Communication is why The key is to speak |

Interesting, and raises a smile.  Let the punishment fit the crime, not the societal status of perpetrator or victim. This, and also all that "Vengeance is Mine sayeth the Lord" stuff---which is, I daresay, as much to save the potential avenger from ruination as the person being sought for possibly-justified punishment. You phrase it well, and I appreciate the use of a regular rhyming form which can be a challenge at times. |

Yes revenge is not the answer but communication is the key. If only everyone in this world would agree. Sigh. Nice form and rhyme thoughout. |
