Love Has No Borders

"I am just a man, you are just a woman."

You told me that you
needed someone to kiss,
so you picked me
out of the forest?
Do I stand out so much
from the others
that you would notice
the strength of my branches?
Did I standout
because I'm willing
to take chances?
Worry not,
I will be your friend,
your secret admirer,
a lover if thats your desire,
but don't try to change me,
to rearrange me,
and dare never, ever think
that I am yours,
that I belong to you,
that you own me,
for I am not
one to be possessed,
I am merely a small part of the forest
and it takes many forest
to cover this earth,
so come close to me,
closer if you like;
touch me, kiss me, enjoy me,
keeping in mind that friendship
has no boundaries
and love has
no borders.
