you smiled at the distance I traveled in my mind to be close enough to ask for a dance perhaps although only around the block so many times and you being the girl next door for moments although only rented rooms by the hour apply we sipped champagne from goblets, the metal kind with screw off caps and ate caviar on wheat thins you were loftly in your heels, standing by windows talking about the people who looked in and wished and should we let them watch what money can buy I bought you ice cream down at the boardwalk later when you were on your own time just being you and letting me see the things I couldn't pay for since you still hadn't sold them to anyone special but everyone had touched them too on the surface we kissed by the ferris wheel and pretended eternal but we still wondered if the other would be around rentable by the hour next time either of us needed or would we be out traveling around a block again being almost lofty in our high healing for windows wishing they had never seen what money could buy _______________ daark (jaguars of glass) [This message has been edited by Dark Stranger (07-28-2010 06:35 AM).] |
