Soon…Time Crosses Sand Moments from now…I count them, not by weeks, or days…but valuable, non-expendable moments, for very soon, it might be, that I may be able to see a life before infinity takes over, lay a kiss upon her cheek, offer a celebratory bon voyage that she have an eternity’s trip… one she has been waiting for, years, now, and then, then, there will be a time for me, alone, to stand, adrift; though, still, I will feel hands cross my heart, lift my chin, then soon and afterwards, time will cross sand… One could damn choices made, but then who would hold one against one’s self, one’s free will and acknowledge…I did this to myself; ergo, free will equals, equates, connects responsibility, hand in hand with requisite need, and have; foregoing want, and desire, for some. Soon, soon enough, time crosses sand, in realizing we cannot do all we wish for all we love; while failure rears its head; one could be sorrowful; one could sit down, and stop. Just, stop. But breath, my breath, is taken in; I still live, I live, feeling a need to hold my own; my own… for soon, too soon, time crosses sand sand has a way of moving… moving has a way of crossing, and soon, it too, has a way of coming… ~*~ and in coming across sands of time, one day, long ago, I stepped across a threshold and was welcomed… welcomed into a place of hope, and life, friendship, and circles, ripples, and family… Once again, a threshold has been crossed… time has spun on, and I smile, an inner smile, an outward grin…this is a home, this is a place where I thank God, each and every day… time crosses sand… soon enough. ~*~ (c) 9-8-04 |

Rick, my friend, you brought a bit of Australia not only in yourself, but in your friends that you invited along the journey. You indeed sit well among the sands of time. K |

I can feel it coming now Like a distant prairie wind Across the nape of afternoon In the drowning of a hymn Played like the chainsaw On a ribbon in a tree Touching to the tender Unarmed heart of me Hi Sissie |
