They tell me there are islands basking like the carefree somewhere beneath the sun but maybe they are fantasies grown meaningful by need or a dream past the midnight hour that disappears at dawn. And is that island lonely for the rise and collapse of peace and tranquillity or does it level out itself and remain in constant harmony with its surroundings? But I know of no island not surrounded by the sea that changes from a state of grace to one of righteous anger and so of islands they must be plain and simply just like me! Helen / 10 June 2010 |

Beautiful.. so true.. Sometimes an island`s shorelines change due to storms.. but if the island`s core is granite, it will remain mostly true to itself. Ahh.. the human experience, hey? What a ride.. Love~Amaryllis |

Thanks, Amaryllis. "but if the island`s core is granite, it will remain mostly true to itself." Oh, yes indeed, but one has to dig down so very deep to find the core. Most of us give up half way and succumb to the ... storms. Helen |

One of my favorites of yours, which are all so precious, dear Helen! The core can be compared to our soul, which is the strongest ingredient of our being and withstands storms of all kind without damage. Excellent! Love, Margherita |

Thank you, dear Margherita. Yes, I firmly believe that the soul remains undamaged but of, Helen, no, it's not so. I guess it's not a problem when one considers the impermanence of flesh and bone. Lots of love Helen |
