Listening to every heart

Soliloquy

I am sorting things out
as time takes its toll…

sorting, pushing, separating and
knitting thoughts into throes of
kneading bread again I am

time, taking toll, sorting a push, a
separation of knitted sweaters and
jammies that warmed sinews of
breeding, I am

sorting
pushing
melding, molding, wondering.

I am.

Come find me

for I am traveling
mindless, needless but wanton,
hungry for life, love,

needing
to be wanted in a way not yet
transformed into lonesomeness.

Mindless, wanting, I am
hunger fulfilled on self-grown yeast

I bake myself dry, a cracker to
fulfill some religion’s need…

I am [waiting to be wanton,
solidified into a liquid warm
against your own soul that
cries because it needs such a
being]

Transformed.

I have a bad habit of starting to read poems, and never finishing them, but definitely not yours. The writing style was really unique. I don't know how to describe it, but I do know it was amazing.

"needing
to be wanted in a way not yet
transformed into lonesomeness."

↑ My favorite part because many people can empathize.

Yo dear Sunshine,

This is a fairly decent stream of consciousness poem.

You can touch so deeply with free style Karilea, and I am sure so many can relate to this.  To them I would say, do "something," volunteer, talk to strangers, fill the inner void.  This was achingly sad.

Agreeing with Mysteria and others. I think it is a part of knowing we are growing older and feeling we are not needed as much as we once were. We all crave affection and  love from someone but more than that I think we need to know we can also help others who have these same feelings. Just feeling I have more than one foot in the same boat you and others are sharing. This alone  helps. love to you. A terrific poem again from you.  latearrival/jo
