They're coming to take me away ha-ha! They're coming to take me away, Back to my crayons and coloring books, That's how I'll pass my day. With pills of light green and medium red, They match my crayons so well, Writing my poems in rainbow colors, With always a story to tell. I directed the traffic, and I did it well Said the guys in the little white van, "We're taking you from this intersection Back to the house of mental correction, The one we call "Happy Land" The people here are nuts for sure, I'm the only one that's fine, I play their game and act insane, Just laughing and doing my time. Over there in the corner, Sits crazy LongJohn, he thinks he's a sailor, Next to him scratching his rear Is that poet Balladeer. We're really not that crazy ya know, In fact we're really just fine, Compared to the other nuts you've known Like Andrew Scott and Sunshine. And then think of yourself, Ya never quite know, Ya gotta be nuts, You're reading my poem? |

if they take me away i figure it will be the best vacation i ever had someone to clean and cook for me no laundry no dishes just dust bunnies under the bed with the monsters who only come out when the light turns off |
