For Those Who Take Their Own Road A broad expanse of yellow stretches onward for miles Endless rows of corn blurred beyond distinction Life is fast on a 1920 Power Plus Indian Chollie hunkers down near to me in his sidecar and smiles Snarling occasionally at the aberrant pothole His canine eyes yellow and beastly, pits of disapproval The road purses its lips beckoning us forward with glee As I wickedly tattoo it with tires from a bygone age Chollie`s sputnik helmet makes him look like a refugee from the space age His cheeks pillow in protest against his bone crushing harness of safety Strapped tightly into his spot, Chollie may look like a yahoo But when we`re hitting a hundred twenty-two, he`s one hell of a speed guru |

Cholly has been nagging me to take him out for another ride. I don`t know what I will do with that dog. |
