I always wondered how it would be if I could walk on water How I would run across the distant sea Where the wind will make me totter Was the smooth surface as soft as a cotton sheet? Or as rough as a horses fodder Will the fish below dart beneath my feet oh if I could walk on water I want to touch the clouds that float upon the bay And laugh out loud, and twirl around as I splash and play A single drop of sparkling rain Causes ripples to flow to the far off shore The wave that stakes a valient claim that whispers of something more The hot sun starts to take its tole as I cross and glide And I hope with all my heart and soul You'll be waiting for me on the other side. "I want to touch the clouds that float upon the bay And laugh out loud, and twirl around as I splash and play" especially loved that verse M |
