From a Garden in Winter |

She trumpets her jazz to a gardeners' ear, majestic in form from her towering stem. The Belle of the Ball, made emphatically clear, wears extravagant blooms like a cluster of gems. Standing tall, regal, proud 'bove her subjects below, royalty rising up with her crown in bright glow. Just a memory now in contrast to the snow, this blank white-wash of winter outside these windows. Amaryllis, the gardens are awaiting their queen 'neath this frozen expanse, in the kingdom of green. |

Nicely stated here Doc. Reminds me of my mother's garden. Hope the new year is treating you well. Peace. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Drew ol' buddy, the same to you and yours, & many thanks for your comments. Balladeer was rubbing it in about being on the beach and got me to thinking I could use a breath of spring, lol. Doc |

Oh man, let's get that Queen where she delightfully belongs. We'll all be much happier. Hooray for the kingdom of green!! Eric the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of reality though not beheld |

You had me at "She trumpets..", Doc. Love your humor but, when you turn over a serious leaf (pun intended), there's no one better. Nice work! |

Eric, Thanks, as much as I enjoy the changing seasons, there are times I wish certain ones would change a little faster, lol. Doc steavenr, Thank you,"a picture" as they say, though I've managed to trim it down to 82 here. Doc Balladeer, Lol @ your reply, you are much too kind, sir. Once, many years ago, I stood in that exact spot, or by an identical sign, and enjoyed some of Fort Lauderdales' southern hospitality, your picture sure brought back some memories. Doc faithmairee, Thank you so much. Doc |
