Reflecting back on years I find
There's sadness, joy and smiles I keep
Each stored on pages in my mind
That turn through days and as I sleep

Those little things that make us real
More habits than of whirlwind pace
A smell, a touch, a taste that was
Events that through our years did race

The growing from our youth to old
Those findings that in secret lay
Retelling snippets we were told
Enjoying time as mind does play

The days are now of slower times
More of leisure and serene
But ever caught by memory’s eye
To give a glimps and show what's been

Memories are special, and although some, such a many of mine, are not so wonderful I enjoy reading about those that are.
