Does fate have a say who we meet?
Can it give us love, so complete
It can bring tears of joy from us,
Can fate promote life as a plus?

Has fate here played a role for me,
I rhyme this poem instead of free
Verse because fate has showed its hand?
No, I rhyme because of my plan.

It's when you don't plan an event,
And it absorbs you, what I meant..
She came to me without design,
She was just there, if by fate; fine.

This is a few words about fate,
I've come to think fate can dictate,
In whom we meet and love so dear,
I think she was meant to appear.

These are very good rhyming ponderings, Jerry! Universe works in mysterious ways. Are there unseen forces which steer our lives? There is the power of our mind!
You yearned for love and love appeared

Actually I wasn't exactly yearning, , but it appeared anyway, which gives me pause to wonder about fate. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Hi Jerry,

I'm happy to have now found my password so I can comment and post again.  I'm in Seattle at the moment and thought I didn't have it with me to use on this pc.

I think it's all in the mind either ours or someone else's - like that unseen power either ours or someone else's.     Strange things do happen either way and I like to think we actually do need all the experiences although of course could do without the bad ones.

I'm happy you found your password also, Helen, and it must be cold up there in Seattle. My daughter lives there.

II believe in karma and fate pretty much, but sometimes it is all just one big accident what happens to us and who we are merged into life with.

Thanks the read and comments.
