A Lesson of Love

Do not hasten
to run away
from the lessons
that love can teach you.
Some only know love as pain
but love has much to give
and much to gain.
Lets say that you
love someone and they
choose to walk away from you,
some would only see that as pain
but those with open hearts
would embrace the good to be gained.

Those that would feel
nothing but the pain
would desperately try to hold
onto the person they loved,
not wanting them to go,
those that will learn
the lesson of love
will understand that they
must let that person go
for the gifts of
love to grow.
