he sat on the edge of desperation
one ink-black eye scanning floozy
a black patch over socket dead
his gouged-out other eye scanned too

floozy was holding a gaudy dress
slipped it over the top of wildhair
it settled on her scrawny
Gunslinger slipped on his scuffs

floozy was necessary, part of his bleak
as in bleak outlook for TinHorn and Love
how'ja lose that eye, floozy demanded
gritted his teeth, "where'd they go?"

floozy's yuk-yuking was laughing mean
when he crossed the room to clutch
her words ringing in his ear Gunslinger
started walking toward a town called Bad

Appreciate it, Lori. I've had Gunslinger in my thoughts for weeks, finally gave him a try.
