Like black coffee swirling The descent into the abyss Voices ring out clearly Yet they are not my own The cries of mortal depressions Embraced with a pain darkly Chains of emotions entwining All naught but just for me Drenched in sweet sorrow Walk the plains of everyday life Like the setting sun Becomes undone I will go gentle into the night... Like Night needs Day |

Jean-Phillippe...I do believe you have made me into a fan of yours. I really enjoy your style of writting, It resembles the way I use to write, sort of dark, but your poems tell a story which I like. Thanks for sharing...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

"Do not go gentle into that good night; Old age should burn and rage at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." ~Dylan Thomas. Your last line implies a giving in? "Like the setting sun Becomes undone I will go gentle into the night..." An antithesis in your feelings? Excellent poetry. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. Maranatha! |
