Like black coffee swirling The descent into the abyss Voices ring out clearly Yet they are not my own The cries of mortal depressions Embraced with a pain darkly Chains of emotions entwining All naught but just for me Drenched in sweet sorrow Walk the plains of everyday life Like the setting sun Becomes undone I will go gentle into the night... Like Night needs Day |

Jean-Phillippe...I do believe you have made me into a fan of yours. I really enjoy your style of writting, It resembles the way I use to write, sort of dark, but your poems tell a story which I like. Thanks for sharing...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

"Do not go gentle into that good night; Old age should burn and rage at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." ~Dylan Thomas. Your last line implies a giving in? "Like the setting sun Becomes undone I will go gentle into the night..." An antithesis in your feelings? Excellent poetry.
