This afternoon, to the east, a rainbow lurks in clouds. No fanfare, no glitter, a simple quiet surety. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

I still like the surety of the rainbow, it's more solid than a promise which can be empty. Keth A poet must leave traces of his passing not proof. |

And such an amazing gift. But where is that pot of gold anyway? Nicely done. |

Thanks, guys. What amazes me about God's beauties is how so often they are quiet, like the rainbow and a meteor shower,if you don't look for them you don't see them. He's not a Hollywood promoter, with a bunch of hype and the substance doesn't live up to the promise. Instead, there's no hype, and the substance is sure. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

I read in the last couple of days that you can only see a rainbow if your back is to the sun. I think that may be correct. Your poem, simple in its way, much like the subject, but glorious in the thinking and reading. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

No fanfare, but I do hear the tune of beauty through your poetic words. Margherita |

"a simple quiet surety" Love that last line. Simplicity in a very complex creation. We should soak it up like little sponges, and enjoy. Excellent write. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |
