Sunday At Casey’s Corner One doesn’t ponder The passing of the years They go as they will Hour by hour as others Have all gone before There’s nothing to do That can change that law The men Each in some way a veteran Sit at the bar enjoying their beer There is an element of retirement That tones the air So who is this woman Who silently comes into our den Wearing out of season A flower in her hair That brings a scent Of beauty love And other things As once long then Were held so dear Among Lions Tigers And Chicago Bears . |
